WESLEY CHAPEL — In the middle of the day on the Sunday of a holiday weekend, Tampa Premium Outlets have temporarily closed as authorities investigate a robbery, deputies said.
According to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office, there was a robbery at the Helzberg Diamonds Outlet. The store is located next to the food court in the middle of the shopping center.
Shortly before 12:30 p.m., deputies said the outlets would close for 45 minutes to an hour. There is no public safety threat, according to the agency.
Deputies said the suspect in the robbery is a 5-foot-9 male who was wearing a hoodie, and their vehicle is a gray or silver Cadillac with blacked-out license plate numbers and a Florida State border on the tag. Anyone with information can call 727-847-8102.
